Letter from the Editor

The definition of a promise is “a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.”

When I think about the promises of God, I can’t help but think about how faithful God always is to his people. Every promise he declares, he over-delivers. There’s no one else who has that perfect track record of walking the talk.

Promises aren’t always easy though. We know God will do as he promised but then there’s timing to consider. And Lord knows, we usually want him to make those promises happen the moment he tells us he’s going to do something. It’s kind of overwhelming and scary to think about how long it can possibly take for God to bring a particular promise to pass. Although the timing is always perfect when it happens, no one gets excited thinking that it could take forty years for it to be fulfilled. Ain’t nobody got time for that, right?

So friends, I want to encourage you in those promises. If you’ve had a bunch of God promises happen in your life, I celebrate with you! What a joyous gift! If you’re in the waiting for one to be fulfilled, don’t lose the faith. It will not happen when you expect it to, but do expect it to happen.

As the psalmist says in Psalm 25:3, “Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame.”

Praying for you, friends.

To the end,
Chloe
