Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts

It can be difficult to find green veggies in the colder months, but Brussels Sprouts are a great option. You might have to restrain yourself from eating all of these Maple and Bacon Brussels Sprouts yourself!


INGREDIENTS:

1 lb bacon sautéed with fat reserved (I cut into pieces with kitchen scissors)
1 bag or stalk brussels sprouts, each sprout halved
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp. Dijon mustard (seeded or unseeded)
1/2 sweet onion, chopped

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400˚
Cook bacon in iron skillet, cutting with kitchen scissors and preserving all fat.
Mix bacon fat, maple and mustard together in bowl.
Toss with brussels sprouts and onion until covered.
Roast on cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes (parchment paper or foil makes clean up much easier!)
